Uconn has a research Team where Chengyu Cao is the main researcher and his team is the CCao research team. Anyways, the team made a prototype underwater submersible called Proteus, named after one of Poseidon’s sons for adaptility. The robot itself has a system in aquatic environments. They received a $1.2 million grant for capturing the National Science Foundation’s National Robotics Intiative (NRI) and hope to improve aquatic rescue and discovery.
